DaBaby Dropped From Six Festivals; Issues Another Apology

After being dropped from Lollapalooza this past weekend, at the start of the week DaBaby has since been dropped from three more festivals. These festivals included Music Midtown, Gov. Ball, Day n Vegas, and Austin City Limits. This all stems from his controversial he made about the LGBTQ+ community and his misinformed comments about HIV/AIDS.

In an Instagram message post, DaBaby posted an apology for his statements made at Rolling Loud festival in Miami.

"Social media moves so fast that people want to demolish you before you even have the opportunity to grow, educate, and learn from your mistakes. As a man who has had to make his own way from very difficult circumstances, having people I know publicly working against me — knowing that what I needed was education on these topics and guidance — has been challenging," he wrote. "I appreciate the many people who came to me with kindness, who reached out to me privately to offer wisdom, education, and resources. That's what I needed and it was received."

It was stated by DaBaby’s team, an apology video was intended to be released before his Lollapalooza set, but was not made in enough time. This was the cause of him being dropped from the lineup this past weekend. Lollapalooza has yet to comment on the situation.
