On his 2019 IGOR tour, Tyler, the Creator made his Madison Square Garden debut, an experience that inspired a line on "Corso" from 2021's Call Me If You Get Lost: "At Madison Square Garden, I did a couple of demos!" Tyler performed that song at the historic NYC venue on Sunday night (3/13), the first of two gigs there, with an enormous sea-green mansion behind him and pyrotechnics exploding from the roof. It was the kind of spectacular show you'd expect from an encore. It was Tyler's second song of the night.

Tyler rode the boat back to the main stage after his medley of older songs, where he began the night's spectacular finale, which included pyrotechnics for "Who Dat Boy," gold rain falling from the ceiling for "Earfquake," and a highly emotional performance of "New Magic Wand," Tyler's favorite song he's written so far. ("I'm out of tune," he concedes, "but life is out of tune sometimes.") He finished with a full circle back to Call Me If You Get Lost for "Runitup," and then walked off the stage without a false encore. This program deserved a happy ending, and it got it.
